PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify structure, to eliminate the need for a special correction means and to realize the assembly works of a segment accurately, safely and efficiently. ;SOLUTION: In the segment erector device installed into the rear drum section 120 of the shield machine 100, a direct acting member 5 forwarded and retreated in the chord direction of a rotary drum 1 is mounted on a support frame 2 extended to a rear from the rotary drum 1 set up to the rear drum section 120. An extended arm material 8 capable of being rotated around a straight line in the rectilinear propagation direction of the direct acting member 5, being elongated up to a section near to a longitude line passed through the axi of the rotary drum 1 in parallel with the rectilinear propagation direction and consisting of a rigid body is connected and supported to the direct acting member 5 through a shaft section 7.
