The present invention relates to a weighing apparatus. This weighing apparatus comprises weighing means (20) interposed between a frame (12) and a mobile weighing plate (14), characterised in that the weighing means (20) comprise at least one set of scales (22) as well as flexible linkage means (26, 28) on at least one side of the scales (22), relative to the framework (12) and/or the mobile plate (14), compensating for a coaxiality defect between the scales (22) and the force applied thereon. The present invention is applicable to the weighing of patients who are bedridden for an extended period of time. IMAGE
