An operating device which can be guided into the interior of a pipeline has a suction head (1) which is arranged at the end of a flexible hose (6) for the guidance of suction air, has, on the side facing away from the hose (6), suction air apertures (32) which are connected to the latter, supports a plurality of running rollers (14, 31) which are arranged in two planes which extend perpendicularly to the direction of insertion and project beyond the suction head (1) in a radial direction and is provided with a seal (19, 19a, 19b) which is arranged between the suction air apertures (32) and the hose (6) and is spring-loaded in an outward radial direction.
