Foamed sheet mfr. by extrusion of a styrene polymer is effected using blowing agent compsn. comprising (a) 5-60 wt.% EtOH; (b) 5-60 wt.% CO2; and (c) 2-40 wt.% blowing aid comprising a hydrocarbon, alcohol, ketone, aldehyde or ester of b.pt. 80-180 (pref. 82-150) deg C. Pref. component (c) is propanol or n-octane.
