Security device for housing of vending machines - has doors with U-shaped sections on upper and lower edges to hook over U-shaped section of housing when doors lowered
The security device is for the housing of a vending machine between the goods area and cash area, which has a larger goods area and a smaller cash area. An elongate, rectangular housing insert (10) is provided between the goods area (1a) and the cash area (1b). The insert (10) receives a security lock and a drop down ball drive which lock the two door panels (2,3) of the housing. The drive moves two roller blinds which lift the hinge carrier and, with it, the door panels (2,3). The upper and lower door edges carry U-shaped sections. On lowering the door panels, these sections hook over U-shaped sections fixed to the housing. The groove of the ball drive may actuate a rod to drive the blinds via control slots.
