Process for mfg., filling and extracting yoghurt from a container is claimed. Milk is heated, homogenised, cooled and then inoculated with bacteria. The novelty is that the inoculated cooled milk is dispensed into a product container, which is pref. a tubular pouch. This is then sealed. Pref. the inoculant is dosed directly into the container, or to a connecting line between cooler and container. The milk may be fed to an inoculation container from the cooler, where inoculant is dosed, before filling the container. Before, during or after filling the container, e.g. fruit, flavouring or sugar, are added. To remove the yoghurt from the pouch, it is passed through a squeezing device, which twice turns the pouch through an angle. Also claimed is the equipment to carry out the procedure, which includes a cooler (5) and container (7) to receive inoculated milk.
