Echo cancellation method esp. in terminal equipment - using designated service number for independent speakers when dialling, if there is no echo canceller in equipment and so controls echo canceller in digital exchange
The method involves a user who wishes to take advantage of the echo cancellation facility of the network operator. To do this the user dials a designated service number and this switches him at the digital exchange through the echo canceller (EK). The user must then dial the usual subscriber number of the person to be called. When a connection is made, his independent speaker becomes a high-quality system.
