In thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) consisting of (a) polyisocyanate(s), (b) cpd(s). with an average of not less than 1.8 zerewitinoff-active H atoms and a mol. wt. of 400-10000 and (c) cpd(s). with an average of not less than 1.8 zerewitinoff-active H atoms and a mol. wt. of 32-400, at least 20 wt.% of component (c) is of formula (I); in which R1 = H, 1-6 C alkyl, 4-10 C cycloalkyl, 6-10 C aryl or CN.
