FIELD: environmental protection, in particular, oil industry and agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves biological recultivation of oil contaminated lands with low contamination extent of 3 l/sq m, average contamination extent of 15 l/sq m and high contamination extent of 30 l/sq m by staged, several-year agronomical and phytoameliorative clearing of lands by treating them with sorbent, mellowing, snowhedging, cultivation, applying of mineral fertilizer, harrowing, sowing of nitrogen-gathering grasses, plowing green mass down for green manure crop. During the first and following two years, agronomic and phytoameliorative operations are carried out in predetermined sequence and combination, during predetermined time and seasons depending on extent of oil contamination of fertile lands.
