The present invention relates to a method for developing a virus-resistant plant by introducing a domain 1 sequence existing in the replication enzyme of a tobacco mosaic virus into a plant, and a plant having a new trait of virus resistance developed by the method.;A domain 1 base sequence is cut out from a complementary DNA (CDNA) containing a whole gene of a tobacco mosaic virus and inserted into an expression vector of a plant to construct a plasmid. Then, the domain 1 sequence is introduced into the plant by the co-cultivation method of Agrobacterium . Genetic analysis confirmed the introduction and expression of the domain 1 sequence in the transgenic plants. As a result of the investigation of the degree of virus resistance against the transgenic plants, all of the transgenic plants into which the domain 1 sequence was introduced showed complete resistance to viruses, and at very high virus vaccination concentration (100 g / ml) and tobacco mosaic virus (TMV RNA, 10 g / ml). The presence of the domain 1 sequence in the transgenic tobacco plants completely inhibits the systemic disease development and vigilance of the virus associated with tobacco mosaic virus infection.
