The present invention relates to a method for screening for a chimeric gene, a first gene encoding a dihydrodipicolinic acid synthase (DHDPS) that is insensitive to lysine suppression and operably linked to a plant chloroplast transfer sequence, encoding a lysine-And a third gene encoding a plant lysine ketoglutarate reductase, all of which are operably linked to a plant seed specific control sequence.
