Process for surface hardening by combining electrochemical anodisate and heat treatment of the alloy Ti-6Al-4V Process for the surface hardening of Ti-6Al-4V alloy by a combination of electrochemical anodization processes and various heat treatments for different microstructures in the said alloy. The combination of the two methods mentioned provides hardnesses in excess of 1000 HV, which increases the wear resistance of these alloys. These hardening techniques are more sensitive and versatile and require shorter heat treatment and anodization times than ionic implantation processes. IMAGE
