AN AUTOMATIC FOCUS DEVICE OF THE PRESENT INVENTION INCLUDES A GROUP OF LENSES (2) THROUGH WHICH VARIES A FOCUS FIELD OF MOVEMENT OF AN OBJECT (30), A DRIVE MOTOR (6) TO MOVE THE GROUP OF LENSES, A CIRCUIT OF LUMINANCE PROCESS (10) TO DETECT THE IMAGE OF THE OBJECT THROUGH THE LENS GROUP AND TO EXTRACT A SIGNAL OF LUMINANCE, AN ACCUMULATOR CIRCUIT (23) TO EMIT A SIGNAL OF EVALUATION OF FOCUS IN ORDER TO EVALUATE A STATUS OF THE OBJECT BASED ON THE EXTRACTED LUMINANCE SIGNAL, AN LSC CIRCUIT (22) TO DETERMINE THE RELIABILITY OF THE APPROACH EVALUATION VALUE SIGNAL ISSUED, AND A CONTROL CIRCUIT (21) TO CONTROL THE DRIVE MOTOR (6) AND IMPROVE THE FOCAL STATUS OF THE OBJECT (30) BASED ON THE DETERMINED RELIABILITY.
