A device for the mutual anchoring of a pair of boards, particularly a multi-way connector for rapid mating, comprising means for actuating 24 associated with one 3 of the boards 3, 5 that engages with a mating part 34 projecting from the other board 5 for the purpose of aligning the two boards 3, 5. The device 20 includes means 40 for holding the mating part 34 in a position corresponding to the coupled condition of the two boards 3, 5.
