PURPOSE:To make the method effective as a diagnostic method of cancer, by determing the quantity of elastase 1 in a subject specimen to be measured from characteristics which are formed by manipulation similar to a subject specimen with regard to standard elastase 1 having know concentration in stead of the subject specimen. CONSTITUTION:A monoclonal antibody which recognizes antigen group A in a part separated from the combination part of elastase 1 and alpha1-antitrypsin 2 is obtained. Reaction which is approximately the same as free elastase 1 is indicated even for elastase 1, which is combined with the alpha1-antitrypsin. An accurate measurement of the elastase 1 in a liquid whose sensitivity is excellently improved is established. At the same time, stable supply of the antibody is secured. The elastase 1 combined with the alpha1-antitrypsin is peculiarly measured by using the monoclonal antibody which recognizes the combination part B of the elastase 1 and the alpha1-antitrypsin. Thus the excellent measuring system especially as a diagnostic method of cancer is established.
