PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To demonstrate the superior NOX purifying performance in the wide range covering from a low temperature up to a high temperature. ;SOLUTION: A catalyst is composed of a honeycomb carrier coated with an inorganic material composed of powder, as a main component, mixed with mordenite, one kind of zeolite on which silver and palladium are carried. When silver and palladium are to be carried on, preferably they are carried on in the order of palladium and silver. In a removing process of a NOX dimethyl ether is added to exhaust gas, and the exhaust gas to which dimethyl ether is added is brought into contact with a catalyst at 100-400°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
