PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the recognition of mistaken mounting on an oscillator, mounted on a microcomputer, easily without necessitating the driving of any control instrument for air conditioner and the like. SOLUTION: A microcomputer 60 is provided with a rectangular wave producing means 43, producing a rectangular wave of a specified frequency based on the clock signal of an oscillator 60, and an output port (p), outputting the produced rectangular wave. The pit value of the rectangular wave is detected by a pulse detector 44, connected to the output port (p), at every 1msec while the pit value is reversed to produce a reversed rectangular wave. The frequency of the reversed rectangular wave is decided whether it coincides with a specified frequency, outputted from the output port (p) when a desired oscillator 60 is mounted, or not and when it does not coincide with the same, it is decided that mistaken mounting has been done.
