PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase starting torque and reduce torque ripple, by a method wherein, when the energizing of both phases conforms to input demand and a rotor is in the position where the torque is generated in the same direction, switch means of both phases are operated at the same time. ;SOLUTION: This system has a switched reluctance motor 70 constituted of a stator 71 and a rotor 72, and a blade part 74 and detection elements 75, 76 which are connected with a motor shaft. The outputs of the detection elements 75, 76 are applied to an electronic controller 77 which controls the energizing of a phase winding of the motor 70. For example, when the output of the detection element 75 is H, the controller 77 makes switches 84a, 84b turn on, and an electric path between a positive bus line 80 and a ground bus line 81 can be ensured through a phase winding 81. When the switches 84a, 84b are turned on, a current flows in (a) phase winding 82. When the switches are turned off, the current flowing through the phase winding 82 is attenuated through a path ensured by diodes 86a, 86b.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
