PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a steel sheet for deep drawing excellent in dent resistance, surface deformation resistance and secondary workability, and to provide the producing method therefor. ;SOLUTION: In this steel sheet, the average composition between the surface and a position at a depth of 10% of sheet thickness consists of, by weight ratio, ≤0.005% C, N in an amount larger by 0.001-0.05% than the average amount of N in the central part of sheet thickness, ≤0.5% Mn, ≤0.3% Si, ≤0.1% P, 0.005-0.2% Al, 0.02-0.1%, in total, of either or both of Ti and Nb, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and further, the average hardness is 180-300 by Vickers hardness and also the average hardness in the part between the surface and a position at a depth of 3% of sheet thickness is ≤180 by Vickers hardness. Moreover, the average composition in the part between the position at a depth of 15% of sheet thickness from the surface layer and the center of sheet thickness consists of ≤0.005% C, ≤0.01% N, ≤0.5% Mn, ≤0.3% Si, ≤0.1% P, 0.005-0.2% Al, either or both of Ti and Nb in the amounts satisfying the condition of C/12+N/14+S/321.2(Ti/48+Nb/93), and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
