PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the over-flow of foam from a washing water tank by forming a passage surrounded by a side wall in an opening part opened to the washing water tank below a litter conveyer to defoam a part of foam flowing out from a grain treating device. ;SOLUTION: A waste gas is introduced in a tubular waste gas introducing part 3 of a wet dust collecting device 1 for waste gas, enters into a mist collecting chamber 4 to be separated by a mist collector 5 and released to the atmosphere. On the other hand, a waste water is passed through the bottom of the wet dust collecting device 1 for waste gas and discharged on a perforated plate 8 of the litter conveyer device 9 from a discharge pipe 7. Large sized dust is separated and the waste water flows inside the washing water tank 12. At this time, the foam formed on the water surface of the washing water tank 12 flows to a side, where a water sealing wall 14 is not provided but a shower for deforming is provided, and defoamed by the jet from the shower to decrease the foam flowing inside the washing water tank 12. Thus, the foam is not collected in the washing water tank 12 and prevented from overflowing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
