PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the useful life of a circular comber segment. ;SOLUTION: This circular comber segment is equipped with a substrate (1) and many combing card clothings (3, 4, 5, 6 and 7) arranged on the substrate (1) mutually in front and rear. The combing card clothings have points thereof tilted in the direction of the front end (V) of the substrate (1). The card clothing tip of the combing card clothing (3) at the forefront adjacent to the front tip (V) of the substrate (1) is admitted into a fiber tuft (F) to be initially combed during the operation and thereby exposed to a higher wear load than the combing carding clothings (4, 5, 6 and 7) located at the farther rear. As a result, the combing card clothing (3) at the forefront has a higher wear resistance than that of the combing card clothings (4, 5, 6 and 7) arranged at the farther rear than the substrate. Thereby, the wear of the combing card clothing (3) at the forefront is reduced and the useful life of the circular comber segment is prolonged inexpensively.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
