PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared ray irradiation device capable of keeping the surface temperature of a housing within a specified range even if the device is as a whole made thin and lightweight in an infrared ray irradiation section for heating a disk-like heating element to apply the infrared ray. ;SOLUTION: A heating element 1 is disposed separately in front of a reflective body 2. Thus, a space for air flowing between the heating element 1 and reflective body 2 is ensured, so that thermal load on the reflective body 2 is reduced and temperature rise can be restrained. Further, the space between the heating element 1 and reflective body 2 can be utilized for one in which a heat insulating material 6 is installed, so that a housing 4 is further thinned.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
