PURPOSE: To obtain a technical term extractor suppressing the handling time required for the investigation of a dark vocabulary to a minimum and facilitating the understanding of the contents of the dark vocabulary. CONSTITUTION: As for the document information stored within a document file 20, the information except a sentence such as a diagram data, etc., is eliminated by a text extraction part 2, only a noun is extracted by a syntax analysis part 3, further, a general noun is deleted by a filter part 5 and the technical term information composed of techmical terms is stored in a data base 21 for technical term. Thus, because technical term information can be automatically obtained based on document information, document contents can be comparatively easily understood by utilizing this technical term information.
