PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit excellent grinding performance in high speed grinding and heavy grinding by forming a recess-projection on an adhesive surface of an abrasive grain and a glassy binder by reaction. ;SOLUTION: A monocrystal cBN abrasive grain 1 and a glassy binder 3 are mixed together, and are formed in a prescribed shape by pressurization molding, and a mold is formed. Heat treatment is performed on this mold in an inactive atmosphere, and after the monocrystal cBN abrasive grain 1 and the glassy binder 3 are made sufficiently dense, then, when the glassy binder and the cBN abrasive grain are reacted with each other in a high pressure inactive atmosphere in a closer contact condition, reaction with the glassy binder 3 advances on a surface of the monocrystal cBN abrasive grain 1 in the mold for a grinding wheel, and a recess-projection is formed on these adhesive surfaces.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
