PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for the lifting and lowering of a slewing device, and to contribute to space saving in the vertical direction of a getting-on floor by installing two lifting-lowering deck devices on the getting-on floor in a manner that the deck devices may be elevated/lowered in the vertical direction so as to hold the slewing device. ;SOLUTION: In an elevator type multistory parking device A, two lifting-lowering deck devices 26, 26 are mounted at the two places of this side and an interior section from the entering-leaving port 2 side on a getting-on floor 3 in a manner that the deck devices can be lifted and lowered in the vertical direction so as to hold a slewing device. Lifting-lowering deck plates 25, 25 for each lifting-lowering deck device 26 are elevated up to places just under the level of a getting-on surface at the time of the getting-on/out of cars, and pallets P, P are supported from lower sections and positioned at the level of the getting-on surface. When the directions of the cars are changed, on the other hand, the pallets are lowered up to a level, where the slewing operation of the slewing device is not hindered. Accordingly, the slewing device need not be lifted and brought down, and the ceiling of the getting-on floor 3 can be lowered by the elevating and lowering section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
