A cabin (12) mounted on a base (16) is open topped to allow an educator to assist a child inside but limits the child's field of vision to the interior. Construction is modular using curvilinear elements and a pivoting door allows lateral access. A computer, with keyboard and display unit (46,48) is mounted on articulated platforms (50) and an adjustable seat (32) is provided for the child. The articulated platforms are motor driven such that the computer may be completely retracted to allow increased desk space. An additional folding seat is provided for the educator to sit beside the child
