P The invention relates to an optical phase conjugation device which can be used with a repeater, for example in an optical telecommunications system over very long distances, as well as with an optical reception apparatus and a transmission apparatus. optical. The conjugation device comprises an optical phase conjugation section (1) for delivering a light signal whose frequency is the opposite of that of the input light signal applied to it, and a conversion section (2). frequency used to deliver a light signal whose frequency is converted from that of the input light signal applied thereto from the optical phase conjugation section (1). The conjugation section (1) and the conversion section (2) are combined a number of times so that the frequency of the output light signal from the phase conjugation device coincides with the frequency of the input light signal which is applied. /P
