The system for time and spatially resolved fluorescence or scattered light spectroscopy (TSCSPC) measures the decay curves of fluorescence or scattered light in a sample medium by single photon measurements for a range of wavelengths and spatial coordinates using a twin-beam method. The system contains a pulsed light source (1), half-silvered mirror (2), spatial resolver (3) consisting of a polychromator or light fibre bundle with time resolver (4) consisting of a microchannel plate photomultiplier tube with delay line anode (DL-MCP-PMT). An electronic unit (5) contains a synchroniser (6) and measures timing inputs from resolver (4).
