The present invention relates to a device for analysing in continuous mode and in impulse mode the energy distribution within a power laser beam. Device characterised in that it consists essentially of a thermo-electric sensor 1 exposed directly to the laser beam 2 and delivering electrical signals to an intermediate demultiplexing and amplifying device 3 and of a computer or microcomputer 4 for processing the measurements and for real-time display of the distribution of the energy within the beam 2, linked to the intermediate device 3 and driving the latter.
