The adjusting method involves recognising a loop closure at a subscriber's station when transmission takes place to subscriber's stations via subscriber's connecting lines. After the loop closure recognition, a single adjustment of the signal transmission parameters takes place. The adjustment is maintained unchanged up to the end of the loop closure. The signal transmission parameters are then adjusted to a value dependent on a determined value of the loop resistance. Pref. the signal transmission parameters is a complex AC voltage replica. USE/ADVANTAGE - For telecommunication installation. Parameter adaptation to length of subscriber's lines.
