FIELD: electronics. SUBSTANCE: given invention presents half-element-comparison electrode in which mixing of tested fluid with comparison fluid does not influence behavior of comparison half-element for the course of long time. This half-element permitting mixing can be used as electrode with one or two liquid compounds as submersible or surface comparison electrode. It includes capillary tube which one end is open into comparison fluid and which other end is open into tested solution. Small diameter of capillary tube limits free movement of fluid in capillary and reduces it to diffusion. Electrode is placed near first end of capillary in contact with comparison fluid. Method of use of given invention starts from filling of capillary tube with comparison fluid. After closing of first end of capillary tube may be completely or partially dipped with its second open end into tested fluid. Since electrode is placed near closed end of capillary and since tested fluid may mix with comparison fluid through second open end only by way of diffusion so capillary comparison half-element permitting mixing ensures stable value of potential during long periods of time. EFFECT: ensured long time stability of potential.
