FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves selecting reference seeds (fields, areas) of winter wheat with different nitrogen supply or setting special experimental areas with different (increasing) nitrogen fertilizer norms; determining nitrogenous substance content in indicating plant organs; performing active satellite sounding of earth surface by lateral-search radar device of decimetric range mounted on satellite; comparing images of reference seeds with produced seeds. Method allows nitrogen feed need of winter wheat to be predicted for vast areas (with specific properties of various sorts being taken into consideration) and nitrogen feed doses to be determined in accordance with approved recommendations. EFFECT: increased efficiency by predicting nitrogen feed need at any day time despite cloudiness and other weather conditions and minimum operating costs.
