Device for defining the position of harvested plants (12), the stems (12a) of which widen at one end, comprises a holder (2) with components for supporting the plant at least below the wide end of the stem and components situated opposite to the stem and which define an aperture of either similar or greater dimensions than the cross-section of the stem, and of smaller dimensions than the cross-section of the wide end, these components consisting of radial arms (4) directed towards the centre of the aperture. The supporting elements are pref. at least partially flexible and elastic, and are mounted on the holder so they can oscillate under the influence of a force, allowing the size of the central aperture to be varied.
