摘要
The use of carbon-containing fuels and oxygen-containing gases is proposed to save electricity in an electric arc furnace for the production of steel, but at the same time increasing the overall heat input. Oxygen or oxygen-containing gases are introduced into the electric arc furnace in the upper furnace space by stationary blowers (4) arranged in the space between the pitch circle of the electrodes (10) and the furnace wall (3). At the same time, the intense gas flow generated repeatedly sucks in the reaction gases generated from the scrap or the melt formed and burns. Thus, the heat generated is transferred to a scrap and / or to a melt under a thermal-technical efficiency of at least 70%. Oxidizing gases and solids are introduced into the melt by means of veneers (2) arranged below the bath surface, preferably in the bottom of the electric arc furnace. For example, carbon-containing fuels are introduced into the melt by one or more hollow electrodes (6) lined against wear.
