PURPOSE: To obtain a simple corrosion-resistant steel material for preventing the corrosion of steel material to be used on the ground or in the air-contg. zone in the soil in contact with the soil such as an underground fuel tank, the base plate of a ground tank, the leg of a steel tower, the underground foundation of a steel structure, etc. ;CONSTITUTION: This corrosion-resistant steel material is coated with a metal potentially baser than the steel material 5 in 40-500μm thickness and has a coating film control layer consisting of the metal grains N in the coating film. The diameter dH of the component 3 parallel to the steel material surface of the grain is controlled to ≥40μm, the ratio of dH to the diameter dV of the component 2 vertical to the surface of the grain is controlled to 1 to 10. Zinc, zinc-aluminum alloy, aluminum, etc., are effectively used as the metal potentially baser than the steel material 5, and the coating film is appropriately formed by thermally spraying the metal. The service life of the steel material to be used on the ground or in the air-contg. zone in the soil in contact with the soil is drastically prolonged. Long-period durability is easily obtained at low cost as compared with the conventional process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
