PURPOSE:To easily verify the operation of a CIM system by using a real equipment emulator instead of a real equipment and virtually operating a plant. CONSTITUTION:After feasibility study by simulation is completed, an emulator for simulating the operations of the respective real equipments is designed and simultaneously, the establishment of an equipment control interface and the development of a plant control software, etc., are performed (1-2). Then, the CIM system is designed and developed (1-3) and plant production is verified by a plant emulator (1-4). Based on the results of (1-1) and (1-3), plant equipments are designed (1-5) and the plant equipments are ordered based on the design (1-6). Thus, the operations of the plant are simulated by using the emulator and the operations similar to the ones for which the plant is actually operated are expressed in a computer by emulation.
