PURPOSE: To obtain a week alkaline ionic water suitable for drinking and a strong acidic ionic water for sterilization in an alternative way by one ionic water producing device having simple structure by alternatively fitting a water purifying cartridge housing active carbon or an electrolysis acceleration unit housing a salt in the ionic water producing device capable of detachably fitting the water purifying cartridge. ;CONSTITUTION: The salt housed in a net like bag 10 in the electrolysis acceleration unit 2 fitted in place of the water purifying cartridge is dissolved in a city water in a vessel 8. A part of the city water fed from a feed pipe 20 enters the vessel 8 from a nozzle 16 and another part of the city water enters an electrolytic cell 5 through a constant flow valve 15 and tubular bodies 12, 21. A salt water in the vessel 8 is added to the city water in the tubular body 12 from a nozzle 17, the electrical conductivity of the city water supplied to the electrolytic cell is increased and the strong acidic ionic water is obtained from a discharge pipe 26 on the anode chamber side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
