PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply control the height of a protruding part in extremely fine adjustment by controlling the adjustment quantity producing an effect on the height of the protruding part by an electronic control unit when deviation is generated from a preset objective value so as to again achieve the objective value. SOLUTION: Measuring sensors 8 are connected to an electronic control unit controlled through a computer program. The electronic control unit detects the coincidence with a predetermined objective value for the width of a thermoplastic web or the deviation from preceding objective value from the measuring signals of the sensors at the left and right edge parts of the web. The computer program is set so as to perform the correction of the speed of a roll when the measuring signals show the deviation of width larger than 0.1 mm. By this constitution, a protruding part 9 is kept within a slight error.
