PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an improved flowing arch expansion joint by assembling the inner layer of FEP material and the surrounding layer of an elastomeric material, joining both layers to the intermediate layer of a fiberglass fablic layer and reinforcing with plural fablic plies covered with an elastomeric outer layer. ;SOLUTION: A trunk member 100 is composed of the internal liner layer 1 of a heat flowable fluoropolymer material of FEP and extended around along the entire inner surface 154 of an axial direction passage 152 and extended radially over the entire end areas of the end 156 faced to each axial direction of a flange 140. One fabric layer fiber glass material 2 mechanically combined to the layer 1 by the heating for generating the 'wicking operation' osmose while surrounding the liner layer 1 directly and entering FEP layer 1 in the clearance of a glass fiber layer 2 is provided. One layer of a heat flowable elastomer 6 mechanically combined to the glass fiber layer 2 by nearly same method as the combination to the glass fiber layer 2 of FEP layer 1 by heating while surrounding the fiberglass fabric layer 2 directly is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
