PURPOSE: To enable a tea party to be held with the atmosphere similar to a tea-ceremony room by installing a fireplace stage in a small base provided with a tatami mat, and using tea ceremony articles while a tea party host taking a chair in a notch part. ;CONSTITUTION: Four leg parts 26 are connected to one another, and small bases 12, 14, 16 are joined to one another with side plates 32, 33 placed on the outside to form an L-shaped flat surface tea ceremony article placing part. A tatami mat on the small base 12 is called fireplace tatami mat, a tatami mat on the small base 14 is called guest tatami mat, a tatami mat on the small base 16 is called tea ceremony tatami mat, and the arrangement of those tatami mats is similar to that of a tea ceremony room. The small base 12 is provided with a recessed part formed extending over about one quarter of the area thereof, and the flange part of the fireplace stage main body is placed thereon. Tea ceremony tatami mats of half size are laid on the notch part 72 and the small base 18 part in addition to three tatami mats 34, so that the host seated on a chair can perform the operation similar to the tea ceremony procedure while being seated on the tea ceremony tatami mat. Furthermore, tea ceremony guests seated on the periphery of the tatami mats can also conduct similarly to the tea ceremony room. The base 10 is arranged in the same position as the central part of the tea ceremony room so as to keep the atmosphere similar to the tea ceremony in the tea ceremony room.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
