PURPOSE: To obtain the preliminary energizing controller to improve welding quality and reliability by counting a number of spots in resistance welding and controlling welding with preliminary welding condition corresponding to a prescribed number of spots. ;CONSTITUTION: A detecting part 1 detects as one spot, which is from welding start to welding completion at a welding part 3 of welding machine 2, and outputs it. By counting this output signal as spot count, a first memory part 4 stores it as a total number of spots. A second memory part 5 stores an optimum energizing condition corresponding to consumed state of electrode each spot. A condition changing part 6 outputs the total number of spots outputted from the first memory part 4 to the second memory part 5, an optimum preliminary welding condition corresponding to the number of spots outputted from the second memory part 5 is outputted to a controlling part 7. The controlling part 7 outputs control signal so that welding is executed under the changed optimum preliminary welding condition, the welding part 3 of welding machine 2, executes welding under the optimum preliminary welding condition compatible to consumed state of electrode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
