PURPOSE: To perform the addition processing, the collation processing, the updating processing, etc., or data in parallel to each other and with no occurrence of deadlocks in regard of such a data file where a large number of data records are added by plural users. CONSTITUTION: A main key 113 consists of an index key 114 and a hashing key 115 and is used for production of a data access request. When a data access request involving the key 113 is received from an application program 103, a data access program 105 first retrieves an index storage area 107 via the key 114 and obtains a data storage cluster 111 out of a data storage area 108. Then the program 105 specifies a data packet 112 via the key 115 to store the desired data record included in the cluster 111.
