A process and the device enabling its use, facilitating the construction of structures such as purification stations, various lagoons or the like, and more particularly of water towers whose wall exhibits, for the same weight of materials, a greater mechanical resistance to the hydrostatic thrust of the cast concrete than that encountered with the known processes and a natural leaktightness which is independent of the internal lining, its construction being performed by casting the concrete into crown rings (7a) of low height which are superposed in height and placed in position as the construction moves forward, the concrete contained successively in each crown ring being cast before the setting of the concrete of the crown ring immediately below and being capable of being immediately vibrated directly into its bulk during the peripheral placing in position of the low-height sheet metal strips (7) constituting the shuttering of the following crown ring. The invention can advantageously be employed for the construction of water towers. IMAGE
