FIELD: biological engineering. SUBSTANCE: polypeptides possessing properties of hepatitis C virus internal antigen are obtained. The polypeptides are capable of binding antibodies to hepatitis C virus Cor-antigen. After having been administered to experimental animals, the polypeptides invoke formation of specific antibodies to hepatitis C virus Cor-antigen. The polypeptides are synthesized by Escherichia coli bacterial strain produced by transforming PLT90 strain with pH 365 F recombinant plasmids possessing nucleotide sequence of Escherichia coli Cor-antigen gen.
