Rapid synthesis of zeolites and felspathoids from the coal ash of ENEL coal-fired power stations. Their use for the neutralisation of acid rain and toxic/harmful waste and the regeneration of valuable zeolites
A method for the rapid and total conversion of coal ash from ENEL power stations, otherwise destined for type B dumps, into zeolites and felspathoids has been developed. These can be used as potassium-rich ecological fertilisers and/or by exchange (purifiers, compacting, organic waste, worm cultures) to slow-release ecological fertilisers yielding ammonia, potassium and organics. They are also intended for the knock-down and prevention of acid gases (acid rain) and the neutralisation of acid effluents (harmful/toxic waste) in the industrial field, and through reduction of precipitation they make it possible to regenerate valuable white zeolites.
