The three-dimensional television (cinematographic, photographic) filming system essentially differs from those used up to the present time in that it provides perfect stereoscopic viewing for any person. This is made possible because the two adjacent television cameras (cine cameras, etc.) do not remain fixed (with their optical axes parallel) but can be moved and rotated, according to the various filming requirements, behaving in exactly the same way as the human eyes when they view image. These movements and rotations can be carried out either manually or automatically with great precision, because the data concerned are supplied by a special opto- electronic binocular viewfinder.
