PURPOSE: To provide a treatment method of waste water and water washings resulting from noble metal plating using a cyanide bath, with which the treating equipment can be simplified and concurrently the content of organic matter can be reduced by decomposing it without discharging expensive noble metals and harmful cyanide compounds outside the system and further the treated water can be reused through recycling the treated water in a completely closed system. ;CONSTITUTION: The waste water and water washings resulting from the noble metal plating using a cyanide bath are subjected to electrolytic treatment by using an electrolytic treating vessel comprising an insoluble anode and an insoluble cathode to recover noble metals and to decompose cyanide compounds and organic matter.
