PURPOSE: To enable to produce a knitted fabric excellent in designability without impairing the wearing comfortableness. ;CONSTITUTION: A method for producing a perforated knitted fabric by knitting different kinds of yarns with a circular knitting machine comprises feeding a cotton yarn 4 or the cotton yarn and an elastic yarn into either one of a cylinder needle and a diamond needle, feeding a cotton-blended yarn or a cotton yarn and a different yarn into the other needle, knitting the yarns into a knitted fabric different in the materials of the front and back surfaces of the fabric, and subjecting the knitted fabric produced from at least the cotton-blended spun yarn or the different kind of the yarn to a loop-transferring knitting treatment or to an eyelet stitch treatment to form a hole pattern H in the knitted fabric part. The perforated knitted fabric produced by knitting the different kinds of the yarns with the circular knitting machine is the knitted fabric knitted with the circular knitting machine equipped with the cylinder needles and the diamond needles. One of the front and back surfaces of the knitted fabric is knitted from the cotton yarns or the cotton yarns and the elastic yarns, and the other surface is knitted from the yarn different from the cotton-blended yarn or the cotton yarns.
