PURPOSE:To produce a brick having features of a brick really passed ages whose surface is tinged with black and corners, etc., are worn out like the old brick. CONSTITUTION:The objective production method comprises three processes. In the first process, a non-baked brick is sintered under high inside temperature of a kiln of 1050-1080 deg.C. In the second process, the sintering is followed by higher temperature of 1100-1200 deg.C with the reduced air supply into the kiln. Through these processes, the entire or a partial surface of the brick is tinged with a little blacker color than the ordinary red brick under a reducing atmosphere. In the third process, the sintered brick is placed in a drum together with a mixture of an abrasive material, e.g. sand with water and stirred to obtain a brick whose corners, etc., are worn out.
