PURPOSE:To provide a conductor for a high-temperature superconductive power cable, and a high-temperature superconductive power cable in which superconductivity characteristics are not deteriorated even when tightening force is applied, and which will not have a step to a circumferential surface of a foamer. CONSTITUTION:A superconductor 3 comprises plural conductor tapes 6 comprising high-temperature superconductive material coated with a sheath layer, a case 5 of metal or alloy to contain the plural conductor tapes 6, and a stress relaxation member 4 contained with the conductor tapes 6 and having resiliency. A high-temperature superconductive power cable is composed of these conductors 3 fitted in groove parts 7 in a foamer 1 as a core.
